Why are the McDonald’s Ice-Cream Machines Are Always Busted? Feds Are Reportedly Looking Into It

Does it ever feel like every time you go to McDonald’s for ice cream, the machine is down? By now, it’s a well-known fact that this often happens. McDonald’s has acknowledged the issue, however, customers are not ‘lovin’ it.’ This problem has gotten so massive, there’s even a website that lets you track malfunctioning ice cream machines across the United States.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Federal Trade Commission (feds) contacted several McDonald’s franchise owners looking for information about the broken ice-cream machines. In the report from The Wall Street Journal, the machines require a nightly cleaning cycle that can fail and require a technician to fix.
