Lil Nas X’s ‘MONTERO’ Ready to Release

Lil Nas X has caused quite the controversy this past year, and now he is ready to “give birth” to his new album. His new album ‘MONTERO’ is set to release on September 17th, and to celebrate, the rapper teamed up with PEOPLE to show off some pictures of him with a “baby bump.” Lil Nas X told PEOPLE he was inspired to do the photoshoot after hearing Megan Thee Stallion’s verse on his new track “Dolla Sign Slime.”

Lil Nas X stated: “I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is amazing,’ so I immediately called my stylist. She was like, ‘Wow, this all comes together. Your album. Your baby.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, this is my baby, huh?’ As a joke, she was like, ‘Yeah, you should do a pregnancy shoot. I was like, ‘You know what? That’s actually brilliant.’ So now we have this entire thing coming out, and it’s going to be amazing.”
