Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation Celebrates Late Singer’s 60th Birthday

Whitney Houston not only sang “I believe the children are our future” in her hit “Greatest Love of All,” but she lived by it throughout her 30-year career. Even 11 years after her passing, her legacy continues. On what would’ve been her 60th birthday, the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation celebrated its second Legacy of Love Gala in Atlanta’s St. Regis Hotel. This year, the foundation awarded a grant to Atlanta’s Living Live Foundation, which aids young Black individuals in pursuing creative careers, especially through its Lighting the Way Youth Mentorship program for 10 to 12-year-olds.
