White House Blocks CDC Director From Testifying

As we get closer to the opening of a new school year according to reports the White House is blocking the US Center for Disease Control and prevention also known as the CDC Director from testifying before a house education and labor Committee hearing on reopening schools next week.

President Donald Trump last week said he will stop the funding for school districts that don’t reopen. Now the ongoing debate is whether it is safe enough for children and staff to return to school.
When you look at New York State, Governor Andrew Cuomo is giving school districts until July 31st to submit guidelines to the state to reopen and he’ll make a decision between August 1st and August 7th depending on Health Data.
A lot of parents are feeling uncomfortable sending their children back to school and a lot of teachers want to get back in the classroom but understand it will be a difficult adjustment for them with all the new guidelines coming.
