Wegmans Super Kids Market at Strong museum to close temporarily for renovations

The Wegmans Super Kids Market exhibit at The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester is set to temporarily close from April 29 to May 22 for renovations. This popular kid-sized grocery store simulation allows children to shop and act as cashiers, offering a unique hands-on experience. The upcoming renovations will refresh the exhibit with new carpeting, paint, shopping carts, and play products, along with the addition of a cake decorating station in the bakery area and an improved manager’s stand featuring a working intercom system. Additionally, the museum plans to introduce three new artifact cases that explore the history of food play. This update follows a significant expansion of the museum last July, which included new attractions like the Hasbro Game Park and an interactive video game exhibit.
