Wegmans Database Issue Customer Personal Information Possibly Exposed

If you are a Wegmans customer you should change your password to the companies website or app. The company sent out an email to customers making them aware of an issue with two of their databases.

Wegmans said that two of their cloud databases holding customer information may have been exposed. The reason they said was due to a configuration issue that was previously undiscovered. Because of this issue, customer information was vulnerable to outside sources.

The company said they were made aware of the issue on April 19th and have since fixed the problem. Wegmans said no card or banking information was compromised however, date of birth, addresses, names, emails, and passwords were on the databases.

About 3.2 million customers’ information possibly exposed.
