Written by Site Hub on April 8, 2025
Walking in God’s Grace Ministries is hosting its second annual Spring Health Fair in Rochester, offering a holistic approach to community wellness by focusing on physical, mental, and financial health. Scheduled for Friday at the Montgomery Neighborhood Center, the fair will feature 50 vendors—up from 42 last year—providing information and services on topics ranging from diabetes and cancer awareness to Alzheimer’s and sickle cell education. Attendees can access medical resources like mammogram screenings and health insurance guidance, as well as personal services like free haircuts and raffle giveaways. The fair also highlights the importance of financial preparedness, especially in response to the rise of GoFundMe pages to cover funeral costs. Organizers Pastor Nate McFarland and Tenia Bradley aim to connect underserved communities with accessible healthcare and life-planning resources. “We know a lot of suffering is going on,” said Pastor McFarland, emphasizing the need for better awareness and education. The event seeks to empower attendees with practical tools for health and wellness, addressing longstanding disparities with care, compassion, and action.
