Vanessa Bryant, founder of the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, stepped up to support Los Angeles residents impacted by recent devastating wildfires. During the LA Strong Essentials Distribution on January 17 at BMO Stadium, Bryant donated 8,000 pieces of clothing and sneakers to families who had to evacuate their homes.

In an Instagram post, Bryant expressed gratitude to the Los Angeles Dodgers and her team of volunteers for making the event possible. “There’s a long road to recovery ahead of us, so stay tuned for our ongoing efforts to help LA rebuild,” she wrote.

The event marked the foundation’s first initiative to assist wildfire victims, honoring the legacy of Kobe and Gianna “Gigi” Bryant through acts of community service.

With wildfires like the Palisades and Eaton Fires still partially active, reports from Cal Fire confirm 27 fatalities and over 15,000 structures destroyed. Bryant’s efforts join a wave of philanthropy from notable figures like Meghan Markle and Doja Cat, providing vital aid to displaced families and helping to rebuild Los Angeles communities.
