Usher Says He Needs To Give “Body A Second To Rest And Heal” Postponed Concert

Usher, who was scheduled to kick off his Past, Present, Future world tour on Monday night in his hometown of Atlanta, has postponed the concert to a later date, saying he needed to give his “body a second to rest and heal.” For now, his other two Atlanta shows are still scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday at State Farm Arena before the tour moves on to Washington, D.C. The North American leg is set to run through November 30 before the tour resumes in the UK and Europe at the end of March. Usher didn’t explain why he needed to “rest and heal,” but told fans less than 12 hours out from showtime that he had to reschedule. Usher said on Instagram “For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat and tears has gone to putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans,” he wrote. “I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show… . “The last thing I want to ever do is disappoint you, the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start. However, I wouldn’t be the entertainer that I am if I can’t physically give you my best.”
