Are you a resident of the city of Rochester over the age of 18 who has been recently incarcerated? Are you looking to reenter the work force or continue your education? If you answered yes to these questions then the Urban League of Rochester has a FREE program just for you!

Today I was joined by Career Counselor, Tia Tucker, and Program Director, Brianna Dean, of the Urban League of Rochester to learn about Project Steps to Success and Project B.E.A.M., two adult reentry programs serving city residents 18 years of age or older for FREE! Both of these programs service different age groups, Project Steps to Success is geared towards young adults aged 18-24 and Project B.E.A.M. is for adults aged 25 and older, but they both provide the same benefits.

What can you get out of this, you ask? Well, how about job readiness training, TASC (GED) instruction, occupational skills training, personal development, advocacy services and so much more! Not to mention, eligible participants will even receive a stipend for their ongoing participation, meaning you’ll get paid for going to classes, trainings, workshops, interviews, etc. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?!?!? Sign me up!!

If you would like to enroll in this program, call or text 585-270-1459 with your name, age and a good callback number.

You can also call 585-325-6530, this number does not accept text messages. Make sure you mention “Adult Reentry” so you can be transferred to the correct department.

If you’re on Facebook, visit them at Urban League of Rochester. Or visit their website www.ulr.org for more information.
