Uh Oh: Kanye West ‘Donda’ Was Released Without Approval

While many were excited for the long-awaited Kayne West album, ‘Donda,’ it was revealed by Ye that Universal Music Group released the album without notifying him. Ye took to Instagram to address this issue:
However, regardless of Kanye West’s claim, Variety reported that an anonymous source at Universal Music Group stated that West’s claim about the release is “preposterous.” Almost a year ago, Kanye West posted a Twitter thread to explain the relationship he shared with UMG, including wanting to buy back his master recordings from the company.
Even though it went against Kayne West’s wishes, ‘Donda’ is out now and available for streaming on all music platforms. Donda includes unlisted features from Jay-Z, the Weeknd, Jay Electronica, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, the late Pop Smoke, and more.
