A 16-year-old girl remains in critical condition after being shot multiple times by an Uber driver in Dunwoody, Georgia. Police say the shooting followed a dispute over a canceled trip at a Waffle House, where the driver, 38-year-old Meredith Grundy, told five teens they couldn’t all fit in the car. The argument escalated when one girl allegedly struck the driver, who then opened fire as the victim turned away. Grundy faces charges of aggravated assault and firearm possession. Uber has permanently removed her from the platform and pledged cooperation with authorities. The company condemned the “horrifying attack” and noted Georgia law prevents banning drivers from carrying guns.
