Tyra Banks Shuts Down the Victoria’s Secret Runway

Tyra Banks made a highly anticipated return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway on October 15, 2024, nearly 20 years after retiring from modeling. The 50-year-old supermodel dazzled the audience as she strutted down the iconic runway in New York City, wearing a silver cape, crystal-studded bustier, and sparkly leggings, all while the crowd cheered to the tune of “Native New Yorker.” Banks had previously walked in nine Victoria’s Secret shows before retiring in 2005.
Her return was hinted at earlier, with an Instagram video featuring fellow model Gigi Hadid. Reflecting on the experience, Banks shared how surreal it felt to be back, describing it as “cray cray good.”
The star-studded event also featured Cardi B, who appeared in an all-pink ensemble, and singer Tyla, who made her debut performance on the runway with feathered wings and glittering lingerie, performing her hit “Water” and new track “PUSH 2 START.”
