Rakai Reveals Twitch Banned Him for 730 Days Over Alleged Involvement in Illegal Activity

On Tuesday night, Rakai went to Instagram and revealed that he received a new suspension from Twitch. This suspension was different from anything he had dealt with before and immediately caused confusion among his supporters. The screenshot showed a 730-day suspension, which equals two full years away from the platform. It listed the start date as December 2, 2025. This, allegedly, for illegal activity. Additionally, an end date of December 2, 2027, was listed.

Supporters tried to determine what caused the ban, but it was difficult to pinpoint amid his numerous recent viral moments. Some people believed it came from the viral clip of him giving out bouquets of flowers without paying at the store. Others thought it might be connected to the moment he jokingly scammed Clix for $6,500 after losing their Fortnite wager, per Dexerto.

Adin Ross Weighs In On The Situation

Streamer Adin Ross even entered the chat on X and decided to share his thoughts on Rakai’s suspension. Adin made it clear that he felt the punishment was excessive compared to how other cases are handled on the platform.

“So ban Hassan for abusing his animal and joking about it , ban nina for stealing and doubling down. Rakai is a kid , he’s a stupid kid just like we all were at 17. 2 year ban is absolutely outta pocket , twitch has such a fucked up favoritism system in place,” he tweeted.

Rakai Heads Over To YouTube For A Quick Stream Amid Buzz

Switching gears, Rakai headed to YouTube to chop it up with his chat after learning about the suspension. He opened up about how he felt when he first read the suspension notice and saw the shocking two-year length. Rakai explained that he struggled to decide which platform he should stream on until his ban officially ends. He kept his spirits high and told his viewers that he even called Kai Cenat for help with the situation. He joked that he said, “I said Daddy make that boss call daddy, please, daddy please.” Apparently, the request did not go far, and Kai ended up hanging up.

Twitch Support Releases Statement To Clarify The Suspension

Twitch Support eventually stepped in and put an end to the growing debate after thousands of fans continued questioning the 730-day suspension. The company responded directly to a post about Rakai’s ban and attempted to clear up the confusion surrounding the shocking penalty.

In their statement on X, Twitch explained that the suspension length shown in Rakai’s creator portal was incorrect and was caused by a visual bug.

“This was an isolated incident. We are aware of a visual bug that caused the suspension length listed in this creator’s appeals portal to be incorrect. Our teams are working to fix this issue, but we know from our investigation that other creators aren’t experiencing this error. This isolated issue didn’t impact his email notification, and we’ve confirmed that the email the creator received did include the correct suspension length. We’ve also clarified this with the creator directly,” Twitch support tweeted.
