The Trump Organization’s online store began selling “Trump 2028” hats and shirts, prompting speculation about Donald Trump seeking an unconstitutional third presidential term.
While the White House referred inquiries to the Trump Organization, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the hat “cool” and likely to be popular.
Trump, who has previously hinted at a third run, acknowledged in March that some people support the idea but said it’s “far too early” to decide.
The U.S. Constitution currently bars anyone from being elected president more than twice.
