Trump & Biden Inquire About Ice Cube’s Contract With Black America

Written by on September 11, 2020

Ever since the NWA days Ice Cube has been unapologetic about his love for Black people in America. Now, with the 2020 Presidential election in less than 60 days, both major party candidates are taking notice of our collective demands for change. Earlier this week, Ice Cube told TMZ than President Trump and Former VP Joe Biden have reached out to him about his ‘Contract with Black America’.

“The end game is to get a candidate to adopt this plan because it’s needed for Black America,” Cube told TMZ. “We all got our favorite candidate that we want to win, but the thing is — we need this done.”

Ice Cube added that the Biden campaign is already “moving full-speed” ahead on social justice issues, but he wants to see an equal amount of attention go to economic equality initiatives.

“The same amount of energy needs to go into getting us out of the economic hole that Black people have found ourselves in generation after generation,” he said. “We have to get ourselves out of this wealth gap.”

Since Trump is already in the White House, he has the opportunity to actually implement change before the upcoming election.

Ice Cube explained the ideas behind the ‘Contract with Black America’ with my fellow Spartan journalist Jemele Hill on her podcast.
