Travis Scott Launches Cactus Jack Foundation In Hometown of Houston

Written by on November 19, 2020

Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation will help provide creative and educational resources to young adults who require assistance in his home city of Houston.

The first thing the foundation will do is to launch the HBCU Waymon Webster scholarship program, which is intended to help college students who are having financial difficulties during the pandemic cover their tuition and fees.

The fund gets its name from Scott’s grandfather who went to HBCU Prairie View A&M University in Texas.

“Waymon Webster was a dean of the Prairie View A&M graduate school,” said Scott. “My grandfather wanted me to take it all the way through college. I feel there is a power in education so to be able to give someone the opportunity to fulfill that dream as my papa thought for me is amazing.”
