Train Hits Car In Chili & Drags It 25 ft

Last night, a train crashed into a a Jeep Wrangler and dragged it 25 feet at the crossing gates on Archer Rd in Gates.
According to reports from Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies, a 59 year old man attempted to go around the crossing gates when a CSX was reversing at a slow speed hit the vehicle.
The train, unable to stop immediately, then dragged the Jeep and passenger for around 25 feet before it was able to stop completely.
The man, who was uninjured, was given a ticket for passing the gates.
The train wasn’t damaged much, but the Jeep suffered a decent amount of damage.
