Henrietta has brought in over $750,000 in cannabis tax revenue thanks to the opening of two adult-use dispensaries—Rise and MJ Dispensary—along Jefferson Road.
Town Supervisor Stephen Schultz says the revenue growth could help offset property taxes, which rose in 2024, and may lead to a rollback.
The funds have already helped launch a new traffic enforcement detail with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office to tackle speeding in neighborhoods—a top concern among residents.
With six licensed dispensaries now open in Henrietta, Schultz praised the legal businesses while noting ongoing concerns about illegal sellers.
