Written by Site Hub on October 12, 2023
The Town of Irondequoit proudly introduced two additions to its vehicle fleet. One of these is a bus dedicated to transporting seniors to and from the community center for different activities. Additionally, a new street sweeper was displayed to aid in road maintenance, including paving, oil, and stone tasks. These vehicles were funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.
Shannon Grieve, the town’s recreation director, stated: “We are able to go to the houses to pick folks up and bring them over to the community center. We will also be doing off-site activities and field trips. We’re going apple picking tomorrow, so it really just allows us to have a greater reach with our residents in the town of Irondequoit. It’s a really wonderful thing.”
