Town of Greece Unveils Inclusive Skate Park and Playground

The Town of Greece officially opened a new 27,000-square-foot skate park at its Town Hall campus, marking a milestone in inclusive community design. Begun in 2021, the skate park and adjacent inclusive playground were developed with input from residents and national skate park designers. Town Supervisor Bill Reilich highlighted the park’s Mediterranean-style landscaping and heritage-themed details, emphasizing the project’s aim to celebrate Greece’s cultural roots while promoting accessibility. The park accommodates skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, and bikes and features custom ramps and a bike rack. Open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset, the facility reflects a commitment to creating welcoming public spaces for all ages and abilities. The ribbon-cutting event brought out local officials and residents in celebration. The inclusive playground is expected to further enhance community engagement for children with diverse needs, making it a unique attraction in Monroe County.
