All eyes are on Rochester, NY after body cam footage went viral of an incident involving the Rochester Police Department that led to the death of Daniel Prude. As protestors took over the intersection of the incident, questions about the death of the 41-year old black man from Chicago started to circulate online. Here are the top 5 questions the community wants answered about the March 23 incident.

As officers Vaughn, Magri, Santiago, Harris, Specksgoor and Talladay encountered Daniel Prude they clearly were not in an danger, as he complied with their orders to lay down on the cold concreate and allowed them to handcuff him. Instead of getting him someplace warm, they are heard making fun of him, while he lay there naked and defenseless.

 

4.  Why were three organizers of  Free the People Roc arrested during a press conference that brought Daniel Prude’s death to light?

Ashley Gannt, Iman Abid and Stanley Martin were released from police custody after a small group of protestors showed up at the Public Safety Building.
