Toni Braxton took to Instagram with a heartfelt post just one day after reports of Von Scales’ passing. The singer shared a sweet throwback video of Von and Trina seemingly dancing along to O.T. Genasis’ hit track ‘Cut IT.’ In the clip, the couple appeared to be having a good time, vibing to the song and showing off their moves. Alongside the touching moment, Toni described Von as Trina’s soulmate and said their family will always remember him.

“Rest in Peace to my brother in law, Von, my sister’s true soulmate. We will continue to love and remember you 🪽❤️,” she wrote.

A rep for the Braxton family confirmed the heartbreaking news of Von Scales’ passing to TMZ. The rep expressed the family’s sadness and thanked the public in advance for their love and support during this difficult time. According to TMZ, Von passed away shortly after midnight on Oct. 1 in Atlanta. At this time, his cause of death remains unknown. However, TMZ also mentioned unconfirmed reports that Von may have experienced heart-related issues.
