June 19, 2020 marks the first time Juneteenth is celebrated as a State Holiday here in New York.

In celebration of Juneteenth, we are honored to host Vaunda Micheaux Nelson for a special reading of her children’s book, “Juneteenth”. Juneteenth was written by Vaunda Micheaux Nelson and Drew Nelson, and illustrated by Mark Schroder. It is geared towards ages 7 and up and published by @lernerbooks.
