The Undefeated Presents Tiger Woods: America’s Son Airs November 29

A new sports documentary focusing on how racial dynamics shaped the career of Tiger Woods is coming to ESPN very soon.
The one hour documentary, “The Undefeated Presents Tiger Woods: America’s Son,” will “examine Tiger Woods’ complex racial identity and the meaning of the golfer’s success in America.”
The film will highlight Woods’ career and also dive into the 1997 Masters Tournament, when he became the first Black player to win a major tournament, revolutionizing the sports landscape.
Kevin Merida, Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of The Undefeated gave a statement regarding the film, saying:
“This documentary, directed by the brilliant Lauren Stowell, is an eye-opening portrait of Tiger Woods through the prism of race and identity. Nuanced and contemplative, it explores what it means to be pioneering and Black and have the highest expectations attached to your achievements.
