THE QUAGMIRE

How do you feel about this?
You’re an American citizen, during a virus outbreak, where anyone could be carrying the virus, but not be showing signs of illness. Your government decides to check multiple people for the infection and those who have it must quarantine away from society and/or take a vaccine. Sounds like the plot to a scary movie to me.
In a case like this, good communication skills can be beneficial. Not just communicating with those around you, but knowing how to communicate with people in positions of authority, to ask the right questions about what is happening – the more knowledge of the situation, the better. As children, we should be taught the best ways to communicate with authority figures. Often we’re told not to question authority, but so many scenarios could be ended positively if maybe we did ask a few questions. I think this would be beneficial to all those involved. What do you think?
