The New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers says Monroe County DA Sandra Doorley needs to step down from her district attorney position.
This comes from her April 22nd incident with Webster police after she refused to pull over for speeding and using her position to be above the law.
Gov. Kathy Hochul sent the case over to Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick, who was selected to review Doorley’s conduct.
“The request to not be issued a traffic summons violates the rules of professional conduct, and DA Doorley’s other actions and statements undermine the integrity of the Office of the District Attorney. An apology will not repair the harm she has caused to her office. Said in a statement issued Tuesday.
