New York State partnered with FEMA to get Black and Brown people in underserved communities access to vaccinations. The Dome Arena which is a state ran mass vaccination site will remain open.

The partnership NYS had with FEMA came to an end last week according to the New York State Department of Health. The DOH said there were more than 184,000 vaccines administered.

About 39.7% of people living in the surrounding area codes around the Hawkeye site had at least one shot of the vaccine.
