The 2nd Stimulus Check – What’s Taking So Long?
Written by Site Hub on August 31, 2020
The coronavirus pandemic is still affecting millions American’s ability to earn an income.
Even people with jobs are struggling to get by, now that they need to afford child care as schools are slowly re-opening with limited in person teaching.
The government has thrown around the idea another stimulus check, but lawmakers are deadlocked and no decisions have been made about another COVID-19 relief package.
The Senate is on a recess until September 8 and there is a slim chance that if the republicans & Democrats can come to an agreement about the new package they will come in early, but that doesn’t seem likely given their recent disagreements.
Even if a second stimulus check makes it into the final bill – which it might not, American’s won’t see it until sometime in October at the earliest.
