Texas Husband Finalizes Divorce Without Wife Knowing—Now He’s Under Arrest

A Texas man, Paul Nixon, 51, was arrested after allegedly filing and finalizing a divorce from his wife without her knowledge or consent.

In May, deputies responded to a call from Edna Nixon, who reported that her husband had secretly filed for divorce in February.

Investigators found that Nixon had submitted forged documents, including a falsified waiver of service with incorrect contact information, which led to the court unknowingly approving the divorce.
