Three residents from Canadice, NY, were among eight victims who died after a 27-foot boat capsized during a sudden storm on Lake Tahoe. High winds and eight-foot waves contributed to the disaster, which also left two survivors hospitalized. The U.S. Coast Guard conducted a multi-day recovery effort. Source: 13WHAM News
