SZA Crowned Variety’s 2023 Hitmaker of the Year

SZA has been earning recognition at an impressive pace since the launch of her sophomore album, “SOS,” late last year. This month, SZA is adding another prestigious title as she has been named Variety’s 2023 Hitmaker Of The Year.
SZA is among the first honorees for the publication’s seventh annual Hitmakers celebration, which is set to occur early next month.
Variety’s executive music editor Jem Aswad stated: “SZA, her SOS album and tour, and her hits this year are not only a creative and commercial triumph but one with a reach that stretches far beyond the music world.We are so proud to honor her as our Hitmaker of the Year…”
