Students From RCSD Break Ground On Outdoor Classroom

This past Saturday, Students from Northeast College Preparatory High School started to break ground on an outdoor learning space, taking advantage of nature to improve their learning. The space will include picnic tables, a yoga platform, garden beds, and shaded structures The plan for this outdoor learning space is to be used for the school’s “Wellness Wednesdays,” as well as access to the outdoor seating during their lunchtime. In order to build this space, the Rochester Education Foundation contributed 5,000 dollars to kickstart the project. The current plan of construction on the outdoor classroom is to have everything complete sometime this June.
