Street Closure Announced For Fringe Fest

Today is the opening of the 11th annual Fringe Festival. The festival features more than 500 performances across 34 different venues through Sept. 24. In preparation for the event, the City of Rochester has announced several street closures that will begin Friday.

Here’s the list of street closures:

  • Cortland Street and Andrew Langston Way closed between Elm and East Main streets starting at 6 a.m. Friday through Saturday night.
  • lm Street (between Clinton Avenue and Atlas Street) and Euclid Street (between Andrew Langston Way and Atlas Street) closed from noon Friday until midnight, and again Saturday from 4 p.m. until midnight.
  • Court Street between Chestnut and Broad streets starting Sept. 23 at 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. Sept. 24.
  • Chestnut Street closed from Woodbury Boulevard to Broad Street from 5-11 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 24.
