On Friday night, a popular local restaurant was forced to pause dinner service after a kitchen fire. At around 10 pm, firefighters were called out to the Char Steak & Lounge, located at the Strathallan Hotel. Fortunately, the fire was contained fairly quickly. However, the restaurant director Jason Fulton says the kitchen will need some repairs.

Fulton stated: “Char Steak & Lounge a local favorite is located on the first floor of the Strathallan Hotel & Spa- a Doubletree by Hilton is in heart of Rochester, NY East Avenue Neighborhood of the Arts will be temporarily pausing service dinner service starting Saturday, October 16 due to a kitchen Fire. The team at Char Steak & Lounge at the Strathallan Hotel are glad to say that preparation makes for the best defense when the unexpected takes place.
