Stolen Vehicles In Rochester Surpass Last Year’s Total Numbers, In Less Than 4 Months

Since the start of 2023, there have been 1,181 reports of stolen vehicles in Rochester, surpassing last year’s total of 1,135 incidents of vehicle theft, according to data from the Rochester Police Department. AAA has recently partnered with Hyundai to ensure vehicle owners can find insurance coverage. New York Attorney General Letitia James joined 18 other attorney generals in demanding a federal recall of impacted Kia and Hyundai vehicles on Thursday, citing the lack of anti-theft features and its impacts on communities.
