Stimulus Debit Cards Are Being Sent Instead Of Physical Checks Starting This Week

If you have not received your Economic Impact Payment physical check yet it may be because it will not be a check but a debit card. The Department of Treasury and the IRS announced this week they will start sending out the rest of the stimulus checks via debit cards.

The Department of Treasury has sent out 140 million stimulus payments totaling $239 billion. They will start usimg the prepaid debit cards to send 4 million EIPs this week. The card recipients will be able to access their money or transfer their funds without any fees. They will also be able to use in-network ATM’s with no fees.

You can also call IRS if you have questions however, calls are very limited so you may not get thorough right away. The IRS Helpline number is 800-919-9835 and it is located at the bottom or your stimulus check letter.
