Summer Walker Addresses Fans’ Complaints About Her Chicago Set
Walker recently responded to fans who questioned why her Chicago show set lasted only 30 minutes. In a video shared on social media this weekend, the singer sat in a car with her makeup done, reflecting on the performance and describing the crowd as “energetic.” She also said she “had so much fun” and was appreciative of the experience before revealing that fans had started sending her direct messages about the length of her set.
Walker Explains Her Booking Times, Says She Won’t “Crash Out”
According to Walker, the performance was only supposed to last as long as she was booked for. “That’s how long they booked your girl for,” she explained, adding that anyone hoping to see her perform for longer should have attended her tour. She also explained that performance bookings can vary in length. Depending on the event, she may be booked for an hour, 30 minutes, or even just 15 minutes for private events..
Walker made it clear that she fulfills the time commitments outlined in her bookings. She also reminded fans that she has children waiting for her at home. At one point in the video, she raised her voice and shook the camera. She also insisted that she was not going to “crash out” over the criticism. Despite the back-and-forth, she ended her message by telling Chicago that she couldn’t wait to return.
