Peter Tonery, 74, of Hamlin, Monroe County, has been charged with possession of a sexual performance by a child after over 820,000 files depicting children in sexually explicit conduct were discovered on his electronic devices during an August 2023 home search.
He was arrested and issued a court appearance ticket for September 15.
The investigation, assisted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, is ongoing.
