South Carolina Fire Chief Steps Down After Racists Facebook Rant

A South Carolina fire chief has resigned from his position after going on a Facebook rant telling police officers to stop responding to emergency calls in black neighborhoods.
The former fire chief identified as Francis “Butch” Ghet.
The comments came a day after the police shooting death of Andrew Brown Jr in Elizabeth City North Carolina.
The former fire chief issued an apology for his comments in a few days after his apology he resigned from his position.
