Snoop Dogg Turns Marijuana Ashes into High-Priced Art Collection

Snoop Dogg has partnered with The Joint Venture to launch Ashes to Art, a one-of-a-kind fine art series made using resin, glitter, pigment—and the rapper’s own smoked marijuana ashes. Artist Erica Kovitz, co-founder of the company, crafted the pieces, which are signed by Snoop and available only via auction. Works such as “Snoop Doggy Dogg Genesis Burn,” featuring his 1993 mugshot, and “Golden Hour Cipher,” made with gold-framed spliff tails, are fetching bids from $12,500 to $70,000. The project is described as a tribute to Snoop’s cultural legacy, combining cannabis, creativity, and memorabilia. Each piece includes a certificate of authenticity, and bidding is hosted online. The art aims to preserve the essence of Snoop’s persona and legacy in physical form—literally. The concept blurs the lines between celebrity branding, fine art, and cannabis culture in a way only Snoop Dogg could pull off.
