One Black business is overjoyed watching after former first lady Michelle Obama wear her custom jewelry piece on national TV.

LA designer Chari Cuthbert says this was the biggest moment of her career!

Sales for the $295 14K gold VOTE necklace starting rolling into the ByChari Online store moments after Obama’s speech during the Democratic National Convention.

Meredith Koop, Obama’s stylist, , told CNN the necklace the centerpiece for her entire look.
“I built all of the outfit options I offered to Obama around the necklace. When I commissioned it, I knew it had to be the centerpiece,” Koop said.  “When the speech started, you had to squint a little to read it. I love that. It pulled the viewer in.”

Koop reached out to ByChari on Instagram in July and ordered the custom piece in yellow gold.

Chari says she had no idea when or if the former first lady would even wear it. So she was pleasantly surprised when the necklace and thin gold hoop earrings from the ByChari store went on display for millions of Americans to see.

This is the perfect preparation meeting opportunity. Chari created the VOTE necklace ahead of the 2016 election.
Cuthbert said that about 12 hours after Obama’s speech on Monday night, orders for the VOTE necklace were already hovering near 2,000.
