Olympic athletes Sha’Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas, and Tara Davis-Woodhall have joined the ownership team of the Athlos Track & Field League, founded by Alexis Ohanian in 2024 to reshape post-Olympic opportunities for athletes. The trio’s involvement brings visibility, credibility, and athlete-centered leadership to the new league, which aims to offer sustainable careers and prize money for elite competitors. In 2025, Athlos will return to New York City’s Icahn Stadium and expand its event offerings to include the women’s long jump, featuring stars like Davis-Woodhall and Jasmine Moore. Last year’s event awarded $663,000 in total prize money, with winners earning up to $60,000. Organizers say the league is building a future where track athletes can thrive professionally year-round, not just every four years. Ohanian emphasized the league’s commitment to equity and growth, calling the Olympians “standard-bearers” for a new era of track and field.
