Shaboozey, whose hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for 17 weeks, will headline the Thanksgiving Day halftime show during the Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears game. The announcement comes just days after the artist was snubbed at the 58th Annual CMA Awards, losing in both the New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year categories despite his record-breaking success.
The Lions’ decision to spotlight Shaboozey offers the rising country music star a chance to shine on one of the year’s biggest stages. Fans can look forward to his performance on Thursday, November 28, at Ford Field, with the game airing live at 12:30 PM ET on CBS.
Shaboozey remains optimistic, with five Grammy nominations in 2025, including Best New Artist, Best Country Song, and Song of the Year. On social media, the artist expressed gratitude for his journey, saying, “If my music makes even the tiniest positive impact in someone’s life, I can die with a smile.”
