Written by on October 13, 2020

The Seneca Park Zoo has just acquired a juvenile rhino named Jiwe.

He weights in at just under 3,000 lbs. and is 4 years old and will be replacing Bill as he transfers to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden

“Having a juvenile rhino that we can watch grow up will be great,” Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said. We know the community will embrace Jiwe as enthusiastically as they did Bill.”

Jiwe was born in Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Texas in December of 2016 and is the fourth new animal to join the zoo in 2020.
