Seneca Park Zoo Expands Deaf Culture Awareness Programs

The Seneca Park Zoo, in partnership with RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf, is offering Deaf Culture Awareness programming. Scheduled for October 11, the event will feature interpreted animal presentations, story times, and inclusive activities. The initiative also includes collaboration with the Aquarium of Niagara and People Inc. Pamela Reed Sanchez, CEO of the Seneca Park Zoo Society, emphasized the importance of ensuring all guests feel welcomed and inspired. The program builds on long-standing partnerships with Rochester School for the Deaf and aims to strengthen accessibility and inclusion across cultural and educational spaces.
