“Segregated” Student Meetings in Greece [Podcast]

Written by on June 13, 2020

The Greece Central School District faced immediate backlash after an invitation to a conversation about racism went viral.

Many people were upset that the virtual meetings were designed for “Students of Color” and a separate meeting for “White Students”.

The Director for Equity Tasha Potter spoke with Jazzy T about the true intention of these “Safe Space” meetings. Potter also addresses the black face photo posted by three Greece students last week.

The series of so called “segregated” meetings have been cancelled. Miss Potter said the District will host one Zoom call for parents on Tuesday June 16.
