Small business owners there is some good news if and you didn’t get help from the first grant initiative. You will have another opportunity for help if you are in need of financial relief. Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced the Fast Forward Monroe 2.0 initiative Wednesday.

The initiative is to help small businesses affected financially by the pandemic. Business owners who did not receive funding from the first round will have priority. The second round of the initiative will allow small businesses $10,000, $15,000, or $20,000 depending on the number of employees.

Last October the first round helped over 1,500 small businesses throughout the county survive the pandemic. This new initiative is funded under the CARES Act and has added an additional $20 million and has to be given out by the end of 2021.
