Authorities are continuing their search for a 5-year-old boy who fell into the Genesee River on Sunday afternoon.
Around 4:40 p.m., police received multiple reports of a child going over a railing into the water.
The boy had been walking with his mother, who was pushing another child in a stroller, when he ran ahead, climbed the railing, and fell in before she could stop him.
Despite her efforts to follow along the waterway, she lost sight of him. Dive teams are expected to resume the search Monday morning, and officials are investigating the river and nearby areas.
