Scratch-Off Players Denied Big Wins After Lottery Error
Written by DJ Sight on June 17, 2026
Two Indiana lottery players thought they had hit it big after scratching winning tickets worth up to $100,000, only to be told the prizes were invalid due to a printing error.
The issue involved the new Space Invaders Cash Invasion scratch-off game, where some tickets displayed prize amounts that didn’t match the lottery’s official validation records. One player believed he won $100,000 but was told the ticket was worth only $20, while another thought he won $2,500 and was later informed he won nothing.
The Hoosier Lottery has suspended sales of the game and says it is reviewing rules and procedures to determine how affected players will be compensated.
